A New Year, The Adventure Continues.... |

Well it's 2009, a new year and we continue (to quote a Radio 1 DJ) 2008 was incredible, the success of our chutney has been mind blowing, but we are now all about upping our game.
We've got a huge year ahead of us, the biggest year of my life, I'd guess it's one of Jules biggest too,we're getting married, we're expanding our output, we're building a new kitchen, oh and what ever else comes along too. I figured as it's all getting a bit more proffesional, then we needed a new site too, hope you like it, I know it's still not corporate design, but hey, nor are we ;) |

Welcome to our life, for those of you who know us, we like doing life our way, at the moment our way is all about making and selling chutney, but that's only part of the adventure, our life IS an adventure. Our plan is over the next few years to turn our thoughts and ideals into a 100% way of life, where we can use local seasonal fruits and vegetables and create lovely wholesome foods and supply local farmers markets and events.

Chutney Sales Full Steam Ahead |

After all the production of our first batch, we've just unleashed the chutney to the public. Granted it's not a 100,000 jar supply contract to Harrods, but everyones got to start somewhere, actually I'm not sure I'd want to supply Harrods 100,000 jars, I'll think about that some more when the opportunity knocks. Anyway back to reality, The other day I drove through the nearby village of Ivinghoe and spied one the largest banners known to mankind, emblasoning the details of "Ivinghoe Flower Show"

Ok I know this isn't a Michelin Star and it's not going to blow the culinary worlds socks off, but on saturday 13th September we entered our Spiced Apple Chutney into the
Ivinghoe Flower Show's produce competition, where we were up against some pretty heavy and formidable opponents and guess what, we came a very respectable 2nd, when your competition is the WI, that's pretty good going. |
